Tuning Colt

The bodykit from Ralliart Germany was put on the colt. So that the Colt is closer to the street a winding undercarriage was implanted. The Colt got also 9x16" AZEV A. Additinal to that it got 20mm spacers at the front and 30mm spacers at the back so that the tires are flush with the car body. And that nobody could see at the interior the glasses from the B-pillar on were darkend with black slides.

The original header was replaced with a MIVEC-header, the y-branch pipe had  been adjusted. The exhaust (Remus) had also been adjusted (2 new exhaust-pipe ends were welded on) because the rear bar has a little bit more distance than the original one. And the engine is pleased about more fresh air which it get with an open air filter (K&N Performance Kit 57i).

A stronger engine is still a goal. But which engine it will be we can´t say at the moment. Because of the first engine-change-action we upgraded the brakes, so we´ll have one problem less.

Sportseats are also planned

Concerning the sound a lot happened in the Colt. The radio and the Sony-amps are still in the car. 2 12" Ground Zero Nuclear, which we bought from Car Audio Exclusiv, are working in the trunk. They are in 2 seperate bassreflexboxes to get deeper frequenzies. The Sony-amp is bridged and so it has enough power for the GZ´s.

The other Sony-amp ist responsible for the speakers from 50hz on. Each doorboard consists of 2 X 6,25" kickbasses from Phonocar and a 6,25" compo from Focal (K2). The doorboards are made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic and spackle. Photos of the doorboards-construction will follow...
